Money

Quarter Horse mare

Initial Assessment

Money wore shoes for an awful lot of years, and her hooves show it: thin, shelly wall, crumbling poor quality sole, and heel contraction.  However, her frogs are reasonably healthy, and she is sound, so with good trimming and some Oxine soaking, she should come around quickly.

Recommendations

Boots and pads for riding to protect the inner structures while she grows more sole.  Diet changes may be necessary to improve overall hoof quality.
