Gracie

2001 Dutch Warmblood Mare

Initial Assessment

Gracie was diagnosed with navicular changes in early 2007.  Gracie's owner, Maren, took her to a Pete Ramey clinic in November 2007; neither Pete & Dr. Bowker  noticed anything remarkable about Gracie.  She does not show the typical hoof shape we generally see in "navicular" horses:  her frogs are healthy and wide, her heels are not contracted nor are they really underrun.  She is a challenge, and we are still experimenting with everything under the sun.
