Gina

Westphalian Mare

Initial Assessment

Gina was quite long, with layers of shedding sole.  Her frogs were quite atrophied and thrushy from lack of pressure and release.  She is very turned in on the left front, less so on the right front, but has no lameness issues.

Trim Notes

Gina has not had much undivided attention this past year, but her hooves still recovered quickly after her shoes were pulled.  A flood and a diet change at the end of December produced a dramatic growth ring, and wall quality has degraded substantially.
