Dan

1988 Appaloosa gelding

Initial Assessment

Overall, Dan's feet aren't bad.  Some heel contraction and thrush.

Recommendations

Dan and his herd would all benefit from cleaner surroundings; they have a fairly large area, but lots of accumulated manure.  Heightened hygiene practices would help get ahead of the thrush.  Diet balancing would benefit the whole herd as well; they show many signs of relative mineral deficiencies.
